We’re not a practice people pass through.

your first appointment

What to expect at your first visit to Bridge Dental, Marlow—

Your first appointment is about getting to know you, not rushing into treatment. We take the time to understand your dental history, listen to any concerns, and give you a thorough picture of your oral health.

A Warm Welcome

Our reception team, led by Maxine, who has been with the practice for over thirty years, will greet you and help you settle in. If you’re feeling nervous, let us know—we’ll take it at your pace.

A Thorough Examination

Your clinician will carry out a comprehensive check-up, including digital X-rays, to assess the health of your teeth, gums, and supporting structures. We also include an oral cancer screening as standard.

Clear Communication

We’ll explain our findings in plain language and discuss your options without pressure. No jargon, no upselling—just an honest conversation about what we’ve found and what, if anything, we’d recommend.

A Personalised Plan

If treatment is needed, we’ll create a written plan tailored to your needs, your priorities, and your timeline. You’ll receive a clear breakdown of costs before anything begins, so there are no surprises.

Most new patient appointments last around 30–45 minutes. If you need additional time—particularly if you’re anxious or have a complex dental history —just let us know when booking, and we’ll allow for it.

nervous patients

If you’re nervous, you’re not alone

Dental anxiety affects a lot of people—and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about.

We treat anxious patients regularly, and our team is trained to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Here’s what that looks like in practice: we explain everything before we do it. We check in with you regularly. We never rush, and we never assume you’re fine unless we’ve asked. If you need to pause at any point, you can.

If you haven’t visited a dentist in years, there’s no judgment here. Our only concern is helping you move forward at a pace that works for you.

Clear communication, calm surroundings, and a pace that follows your comfort—not a schedule.

what comes next

After your first visit—

Following your initial examination, we’ll agree on the next steps together. That might mean booking a hygiene appointment, starting a course of treatment, or simply scheduling your next routine check-up.

From here, your care is ongoing. You’ll see the same clinician at each visit, building a relationship that deepens over time. Your treatment plans are framed around long-term outcomes, not isolated appointments; and your team will stay in touch with recall reminders so nothing gets missed.

You’re not just registering with a dental practice. You’re joining a team that will look after you for years to come.

treatment cost

Fees & Payments—

Bridge Dental Surgeries is a private dental practice. We believe in transparent pricing—you’ll always know what your treatment will cost before it begins.

At your first appointment, your clinician will discuss any recommended treatment and provide a clear, written plan with a full breakdown of fees. There’s no obligation to proceed, and no pressure.
